Palace of Versailles

The Palace of Versailles is located approximately 16 kilometers southwest of Paris. It was the residence of the French kings Louis XIV, Louis XV, and Louis XVI. Spanning over 63,000 m², its park currently covers 815 hectares, compared to 8,000 hectares before the Revolution. Among its many features are the Grand Trianon, the Petit Trianon with the Queen's Hamlet or Marie-Antoinette's Estate, the Grand and Petit Canals, an Orangery, and the Swiss Water Feature. From March to October, the Eaux Nocturnes musical spectacle is presented at certain times.
