Hiking in Mimizan<\/h1><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Welcome to the Mimizan hike<\/h2><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Departure from the Maison Foresti\u00e8re de la Mailloueyre. You can park your vehicle here; there is a parking lot.<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. From the Mailloueyre forest house, take the blue marked path which runs alongside the cycle path, then head off to the right into the forest.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Arriving in front of the dune that leads to the beach, take the discovery trail on the right. After about 200 meters, you can enjoy the observation post of the small pond of Mailloueyre where many species of birds stay at certain times of the year.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Continue on the discovery trail for a while until you can return to the beach on the left. Once on the beach, go back up to the right towards the north along Go\u00e9lands Beach, until you reach the jetty.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. When you reach the jetty, follow the avenue de la jet\u00e9e on the right until you reach the bridge. At the bridge, turn left to cross the Mimizan stream.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Just after crossing the bridge, turn immediately right and go down to Courant de Mimizan beach. Follow the beach to the end to take a wooden staircase on your left.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. About twenty meters after the stairs, turn right onto Avenue du Parc d'Hiver. After 200 meters, turn left until you reach the last house.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. At the last house, take the path on the left which enters the pine forest, you will pass a picnic area and after this picnic area, you will find a bridge on your right which you will cross.<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. As soon as you cross this bridge, you will take the path on the left that runs alongside the Courant de Mimizan. It is signposted as a fitness trail that you will follow until it brings you back to the road.<\/span><\/li>\n
  9. At the end of this fitness trail, you will take the cycle path on the right for about 120 meters and cross Rue de la Pap\u00e8terie to take Rue des Oiseaux to the end. At the end, you cross Rue des Roitelets and you immediately have a path that enters the forest. You do not take the path on the right or left, but continue straight for about 70 meters, and there you take the first path on your right.<\/span><\/li>\n
  10. You are on the path to the Mimizan national forest. Be careful, from here it is practically sand all the way, it may be harder for some.<\/span><\/li>\n
  11. Next, you will cross the Hauts de Mimizan road and then go along the wastewater treatment plant. You will continue straight ahead. You will pass the Especier road and continue straight ahead until you reach the Mailloueyre forest house.
