Over the centuries, it was successively occupied by the Visigoths, Muslims, Jews, and Christians, leaving behind remarkable architectural remains. The Mezquita, a mosque converted into a cathedral in the city center, is a striking example. The latter is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Jewish quarter, called La Juderia, is also a must-see in C\u00f3rdoba. It is characterized by its narrow streets lined with houses with wrought iron gates, offering views of patios adorned with flowers.
