Temple d'Ulun Danu

Ulun Danu Temple. This thousand-year-old temple, built on the shores of Lake Bratan, dates back to the 17th century. It is dedicated to a Hindu water deity, worshipped by Balinese rice farmers. In 1917, during a violent eruption of the Batur volcano, the lava flow stopped at the temple gates, interpreted as an omen by the villagers. We will explore this mysterious place in the mist.

This botanical park, extending over more than 150 hectares, offers a remarkable collection of tropical plants, including rare species that benefit from special protection.
