Welcome to Ulun Danu Temple

Ulun Danu Temple. This thousand-year-old temple, built on the shores of Lake Bratan, dates back to the 17th century. It is dedicated to a Hindu water deity, worshipped by Balinese rice farmers. In 1917, during a violent eruption of the Batur volcano, the lava flow stopped at the temple gates, interpreted as an omen by the villagers. We will explore this mysterious place in the mist.
