Hué and the Perfume River

Welcome to Hué and the Perfume River
After breakfast, we leave the hotel by bike, follow the canals and visit the Dong Ba market.
We then continue for a short stroll to a spot on the Perfume River to board a magnificent Sampan. The Perfume River owes its name to the fragrant jasmine plantations that have long colonized its banks. This river is rather wide like a river and stretches for 33 kilometers. We have lunch on board during a pleasant cruise.
We stop on one bank to see the Thien Mu Pagoda. We return to our sampan to be dropped off on another bank and set off again on our bikes to discover the surrounding countryside and its inhabitants. The grapefruit orchards offer us a tasting stop at a village woman's house.
Return to Sampan to drop off our bikes and enjoy a foot massage performed by blind people for a very pleasant relaxation.
Dinner time at a small restaurant on the riverbank. It's special, as a young chef will teach us three Vietnamese dishes to make ourselves. We then taste our creations and hers.
Overnight on board the Sampan on the Perfume River.
