Apremont Gorges
Welcome to the Apremont Gorges hike in Fontainebleau Forest
To get to this hike, just go to the painters' village of Barbizon, take its main street and cross the village, and at the end when entering the forest, you can park (parking lot 1 on the map).
Ensuite c'est très simple, car le parcours est fléché d’un trait bleu et portant le numéro 6. Compter 2h30’ en prenant le temps de faire des photos et d’admirer le paysage. Distance d’environ 9 km avec des passages dans les rochers.
At 2 on the map you will see Elephant Rock.
In 3, it is the viewpoint of the Apremont gorges.
In 4, follow the fork numbered 6.6 to take the direction of Mare aux Biches via the Apremont ridges, otherwise you will do additional kilometers.
In 5, you will pass the bandits' cave before going back down towards the Bas Bréau crossroads and the Barbizon road. After this walk, you can stroll through the painters' village of Barbizon and have a drink.
