Fort Malamot

This hike begins at Lac du Mont-Cenis, precisely at the dam where a parking lot is accessible. The lake is located on the national road 6, which connects France via Savoie to Italy. The starting point, located at the dam, is at an altitude of 1978 meters. The arrival at the old fort is at 2917 meters, which represents a total elevation gain of 939 meters.
