Agra

Welcome to Agra

Agra, where you can visit the Red Fort and the Taj Mahal. Unfortunately, my visit will take place in pouring rain, as it is the middle of the monsoon season in this region of India.

The Red Fort offers a magnificent view of the Taj Mahal. Don't expect to see any multicolored furniture or hangings; only the red of the stone contrasts with the white marble of the interior. The architecture of the buildings is impressive.
I then visited the Taj Mahal, still in the rain, which stopped shortly after I left the gardens. The rain made it somewhat difficult for me to take my photographs, but the temperature remained mild. The Taj Mahal is made mainly of white marble. It is bordered by the Yamunâ River. The tomb inside is closed to the public. Like most visits to India, entrance fees are significantly higher for foreigners than for locals. A legendary monument of India, it is a must-see.
