Les Ocres de Roussillon

The village of Roussillon, located in Vaucluse in Provence, is famous for its ochre, which has earned it a place among the most beautiful villages in France and within the perimeter of the Luberon Regional Natural Park. Ochre mining began at the end of the 18th century and continued until 1930. Today, the site is protected to preserve its integrity.
